a little about Me

I was born & raised in Tahoe City, CA, skiing, hiking, biking, & enjoying the great outdoors. Being surrounded by the outdoors has always been a part of who I am, & has grown to greatly influence my work.

I've always had a passion for architecture & the arts, so for me, the decision to go into Interior Design, Architectural Studies, & Green Building was simple.

My design education started with photography, painting, drafting, & AutoCAD in high school.  I continued my education at Sierra College, American River College, Long Beach City College, & Truckee Meadows Community College, traveling wherever was necessary to get the classes that catered best to my education.  I then transferred to San Jose State University to get a BFA in Interior Design & two minors, one in Architectural Studies, & the other in Energy Policy & Green Building.

While going to school, I worked for Brad Altman Engineering, Sagan Design Group, Loayza's Landscaping, & ID.3 (Osnap Inc.) learning many facets of the Engineering, Architectural, Landscaping, & Interior Design industries.

Post-Graduation, I have worked for ID.3 (Osnap Inc.), Barter Construction, Locati Interiors, Intaglio Design, SkB Architects, & Board & Vellum Architects, & have gained many skills & experiences from the talented staff & employers, & hope to continue to grow & fine tune these skills as I move forward in my design career.

I have previously passed the IDFX of the NCIDQ, & my future goals include becoming both NCIDQ & LEED Certified.
