The Center for Cultural Awareness is a place to research, raise awareness & contemple the cultures that co-exist in  San Francisco.

This project will examine the complex forces that influence the architecture of a highly urban site. Because of the complexity & density of the program elements, the users of the proposed design should find themselves navigating in-&-out between program elements, being indoors & outdoors, participating in one element or multiple events at the same time, & might have a different experience every time they visit the site.

Abstracting influence from the work of Alvar Aalto & other architects (such as Alberto Mozo, Thomas Phifer & Partners, & Norm Architects of Denmark), the site focuses on repetitive linear forms, natural elements, & a clean, simple material palette.
